Taipei is home to an ultra-convenient public transportation system. The comfy Taipei Metro system whisks you quick and easy to the city’s myriad special tourist attractions. The Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government has launched 58 theme-tour itineraries, providing planning reference for travelers of different ethnic origin and for different travel situations.
The 58 themed itineraries are primarily 1-day tours. However, depending on the number of travel days available to the visitor, they can also be freely assembled into unique 2- and 3-day tours. The routes take you through all of the city’s 12 administrative districts – their special scenic attractions, seasonal events, unique commercial districts and night markets, etc. Combining Taipei’s varied modes of convenient public transportation, you can easily take in at least 200 sightseeing attractions, covering the entire city.
