The theme for this year’s Taipei New Year’s Party is “Move”! This whole city will be stimulated to “Move”, with Xinyi District the epicenter! Join in with the happy crowds as the city gets to moving and shaking, and at the same time enjoy the promotional excitement for the upcoming World Masters Games 2025 – Taipei & New Taipei City, inviting everyone to bring their family and friends to this festival of hard work, perspiration, and dedication!
Of course, when you come out to join in the play, it’s not just your voice that you should be exercising! For the Taipei New Year’s Party, in addition to stage activities and markets of different themes organized over the four consecutive weekends of December, giving people myriad different destination options to get out for walkabouts, three interactive photo-taking installations have been set up along the sidewalks surrounding Taipei City Hall, “Running,” “Flowing,” and “Jumping,” designed in harmony with the “Move” theme. Incorporating commonly seen sports into daily life, they’re fun and present you with a challenge. One and all can come take their best shot, showing what they’ve got!

【Running Interactive Installation】 Venue: Taipei City Hall North Gate Outdoor Passage
Here, a running track concept design is used to create a “Running Speed Challenge”! Launch from the starting line under the archway, racing for the shortest time between the start-line and finish-line sensor posts. The public is transformed into a legion of sprinters, racing with style!
After completing the challenge, your results will be displayed on the rear screen. Take a photo with your personal achievement displayed to share the glory!
【Flowing Interactive Installation】 Venue: Taipei City Hall East Gate Outdoor Plaza
Flip the pool! Become part of the flowing water world! Enter this swimming pool brimming with creativity, and through the large transparent glass you’ll feel like you’re doing the backstroke through the water. This installation is bound to become a showcase for multifarious creative swimming styles, swimming along together with the cute pool mascots!
【Jumping Interactive Installation】 Venue: Taipei City Hall Southeast Plaza
The “air ball” experience that everyone knows has been turned into an interactive challenge! Everyone is invited to the Taipei New Year’s Party basketball court, where they can jump high toward the blue sky to try to touch the round ball. Touch it and lights will flash on and your corresponding score will be displayed on the screen. Grab all your friends and come for PK fun!
